Direct Support Professional - Tuition-Free Master's Degree!

All eligible full-time employees at The NEEDS Center can apply to get their online Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from William James College TUITION FREE (yes, you read that right!).

We also provide dedicated Management Training and a $1,500 - $2,000 sign-on bonus to hired Full Time candidates.

The NEEDS Center is a growing non-profit organization that provides services and support to adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. Right now we have 10+ openings for Direct Care Specialists who will assist and support the adults in our care to live as independently as possible while enjoying all aspects of Community Living. This is a role where you can truly make a difference in the lives of others.

  • Full-time and Part-time positions available in our residential home in Danvers, Boxford & Rowley.
  • These positions are primarily either second shift, overnights, and/or weekends.
  • Pay is $20-$22 per hour (based on location & experience)

These are entry-level jobs with great potential for career growth--and training is provided

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting and supporting individuals in daily routines.
  • Supporting residents in developing daily living skills, such as cooking, and cleaning.
  • Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning common areas and ensuring personal spaces are tidy.
  • Implement clinical, educational and vocational programs.
  • Observe and record data for programs established in their Individual and Behavior support plans.
  • Participate with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that includes regular community membership.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred (but not necessary)
  • Experience with behavior management preferred (but not necessary)
  • Ability and willingness to provide hands-on personal care to adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form with co-workers and supported individuals. Must be able to read fluently.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team.

The NEEDS Center specializes in providing services and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). There is a particular emphasis on providing services to individuals with interfering challenging behavior and/or dual diagnosis. The NEEDS Center’s philosophy is rooted in the tenets of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and Positive Behavior Support (PSB). The services and supports provided by the NEEDS Center draw on the best of both disciplines in order to assist individuals to become as independent as they can be.
